Kalpana Soren, the wife of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader and former Chief Minister Hemant Soren, met with Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, on Saturday. Both Hemant Soren and Arvind Kejriwal are currently under Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody.

Hemant Soren was apprehended by the ED team on January 31 in connection with money laundering allegations related to a land scam case. Following that, Champai Soren assumed the role of the new Chief Minister of Jharkhand.

Meanwhile, Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi Chief Minister, was arrested by the ED team on March 21 in connection with the Delhi Liquor Policy case. His custody has been extended until April 1. Additionally, two other senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders, Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, are also in custody in connection with the same case.

The opposition has raised concerns about the misuse of central agencies to target opposition leaders. Kalpana Soren expressed solidarity with Sunita Kejriwal, stating, "The incident that took place in Jharkhand two months back is now unfolding in Delhi. CM Arvind Kejriwal has also been sent to jail just like my husband Hemant Soren."

She further added, "I met Sunita Kejriwal ji, and we decided that we would fight against this. I am going to meet Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi as well today to discuss the situation in Jharkhand. I will also attend the INDIA alliance rally in Ramlila Maidan tomorrow."

Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj echoed similar sentiments, drawing parallel between Hemant Soren and Arvind Kejriwal's situations. "Hemant Soren was a big leader of opposition parties and he was running the government in a non-BJP state. Everyone saw how the central government put him in jail, similarly, Arvind Kejriwal has also been put in jail," he stated.

Bharadwaj also mentioned that both Kalpana Soren and Champai Soren have been invited to the INDIA bloc rally scheduled for March 31.
