The 77th Republic Day is being celebrated with full ceremonial grandeur across Jharkhand, with Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar hoisting the national flag at Morabadi Ground in Ranchi. Before the flag hoisting, the Governor inspected the joint parade and took the salute.

A battalion of the Bengal Police also participated in this year’s parade. Several ministers, political leaders and senior officials were present at the state-level Republic Day ceremony. Tableaux showcasing the work and achievements of various government departments were also presented on the occasion.

Security arrangements were tightened for the event, with heavy deployment of police personnel across the Morabadi area. The entire ground was placed under strict security cover.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren did not attend the Republic Day function as he is currently on a foreign visit to London. His absence has drawn criticism from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
