The Jharkhand government will organise a major event at Morabadi Ground on November 28 to mark one year of the Hemant Soren-led administration. The programme will centre on the distribution of appointment letters to newly selected candidates across various departments.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren will hand over appointment letters to 8,514 candidates, including 8,000 assistant teachers and officers selected through the JPSC Civil Services Competitive Examination. The Cabinet Coordination Department has been tasked with overseeing the event.

During a review meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar, officials from multiple departments were directed to ensure smooth preparations. It is also likely that call letters will be issued to candidates selected by different companies through the state’s Rojgar Mela, organised by the Labour, Planning and Training Department.

For the programme, the Cabinet Coordination Department has appointed nodal officers from the concerned departments.

Post-wise number of appointment letters to be distributed:

-Deputy Collector: 207

-Deputy Superintendent of Police: 35

-State Tax Officer: 56

-Jail Superintendent: 2

-Jharkhand Education Service (Category-2): 10

-District Commandant: 1

The event is expected to be one of the state’s largest appointment drives, reflecting the government’s focus on employment generation and administrative strengthening.
