In a shocking incident, a group of 40-50 youths entered the Mathura Khatal locality under the Ranchi’s Dhurwa police station on Saturday, shouting abuses and firing indiscriminately. The attackers vandalised dozens of two-wheelers and four-wheelers parked in the locality, forcing residents to take shelter in their homes.

The incident occurred around 9:30 PM, and the Dhurwa police reached the scene promptly. A heavy police force was deployed, including City SP Paras Rana, Hatia DSP Pramod Mishra, Jagannathpur Inspector Digvijay Singh, and Dhurwa Inspector Bimal Kindo. However, the accused had already fled. Police have launched raids at potential hideouts in search of the suspects.
