Home Remedies For Migraine Headaches: Migraine headaches cause excruciating headaches that can be difficult to handle and vary in intensity from moderate to severe. Migraine is a neurological disorder that causes a strong headache. According to the Mayo Clinic, a migraine headache often begins as a dull ache and grows into throbbing pain. It usually gets worse during physical activity. The pain can move from one side of your head to the other, can be in the front of your head, or can feel like it's affecting your entire head.

1. Hydration
Hydration plays a major role when it comes to getting relief from headaches. There are several studies that suggest dehydration can be a common cause of headaches. Therefore, drinking more water can potentially reduce headaches and provide some relief. To prevent headaches, try drinking more water and consuming fruits and vegetables rich in water content.
2. Acupressure
Acupressure is an effective treatment in which pressure is put on certain places of the body to relax the muscles and improve blood flow. In acupressure, you use your fingers, palms, elbows feet, or special devices to apply pressure to acupoints on the body's meridians.

3. Get Adequate Sleep
One of the major factors that contribute to headaches is sleep deprivation. Due to hectic schedules, some people find it difficult to achieve a minimum of 7-8 hours of sleep, which is essential for overall health and well-being. Therefore, it is important to get a good amount of rest and sleep to let the body rest and rejuvenate and relieve headaches.
4. Essential Oils
Essential oils are another effective remedy that can provide relief from headaches at home. You can use essential oils such as lavender, rosemary, peppermint, chamomile, and eucalyptus oils to massage your head gently. They are helpful scents that can reduce the symptoms of headaches.

5. Drink Tea Or Coffee
Drinking caffeinated drinks such as tea and coffee can also be effective in treating headaches. The presence of caffeine in these drinks can potentially help in soothing headache symptoms. You can try ginger, peppermint or clove tea to treat headaches as the main ingredients of these teas have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that work together to reduce the symptoms of headaches.
