Caffeinated Beverages

If you are looking for a comforting drink, try caffeine-free herbal teas like ginger or peppermint which can help soothe your throat and provide relaxation without the dehydrating effects of caffeine.

Spicy Foods

Spicy foods might cause heartburn or acid reflux which exacerbates chest and stomach pain while you are ill. During a cold, it is best to switch to gentle, calming foods that won't aggravate your throat or digestive problems.
