Must-Avoid Foods In Summers: The proceeding summer months are wreaking havoc on the people. The increasing temperatures and humidity are causing extreme discomfort. It has become difficult for people to commute throughout the day due to the scorching sun. High temperatures can cause dehydration, tanning, sunburn, and other heat-related illnesses. Therefore, keeping a check on your diet is extremely important to prevent excessive heat in the body. Avoiding foods that generate heat in the body is essential to keep your body cool during summer. Here are some foods that you must avoid during hot temperatures to keep yourself healthy and cool.
Must-Avoid Foods In Summers
Coffee
The caffeine present in coffee may cause excess fluid loss in the body, leading to dehydration. Caffeinated drinks are diuretics in nature that cause the body to lose fluids. Coffee also increases the body temperature, therefore consume coffee in moderation.
Soda
Even though it is popular for its cooling properties, one must avoid drinking soda in the summer. Carbonated drinks like soda are highly addictive and contain high amounts of sugar, which leads to dehydration. Also, drinking too many sugary drinks can lead to tooth decay and weight gain.

Fried Foods
Fried meals should be avoided during hot weather as they are heavy in salt and tough to digest, which might impair your digestion and make you feel tired. Furthermore, they might cause excessive oiliness in your skin, resulting in acne and outbreaks.
Spicy Foods
Spicy foods should be avoided during the summer since they might have a detrimental effect on pitta dosha, causing a rise in body temperature and excessive perspiration. During hot weather, their heating effects might increase your chance of developing sunstroke.
Processed Foods
Processed foods that are simply sliced, washed, heated, pasteurised, canned, cooked, frozen, dried, dehydrated, combined, or packed should be avoided in summer. These foods cause water retention, which leads to dehydration.
