Healthy-Post Workout Meals: Amidst hectic schedules, the primary goal of the majority of us is to incorporate healthy habits in our routine that promote a healthy body and well-being. While working out remains a constant practice in our routines, inculcating healthy post-workout habits is also extremely important. A post-workout regime should include healthy meals that provide the body with essential nutrients and much-needed energy for the body to function properly. Here are some healthy vegetarian meals that you should eat after your workout and stay healthy.

1. Eggs

Eggs are an abundant source of vitamins, minerals, folate, iron, folate and carotenoids, which make them an ideal food for every diet. While eggs can be eaten raw, poached or scrambled, consuming boiled eggs can provide maximum health benefits. They are considered one of the healthiest food options for workout diets. Hard-boiled eggs are an abundant source of lean protein. Lean protein helps in lowering cholesterol, speeds up metabolism, supports brain function and strengthens your bones.

2. Oatmeal

Another healthy meal to include in your post-workout routine is oatmeal. It is the most common breakfast meal, which is made by boiling oats in water or milk. Oats are abundant in a type of fibre called beta-glucan, which is thought to promote weight loss and improve cholesterol levels, blood sugar control, and blood pressure.

3. Chia Seeds Pudding

One of the healthiest foods to eat after a workout is chia seed pudding. The low glycemic index of chickpeas can help in managing blood pressure, blood sugar levels and weight loss. You can add onions, tomatoes, spices and lemon juice and make chickpeas more tasty.
