Dr. Shikha said, "As individuals transition past the age of 40, commitment to a structured skincare regimen becomes increasingly indispensable for sustaining a youthful and flawless complexion. At the forefront is the unwavering application of sunscreen—an absolute non-negotiable. Opting for a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 30 acts as a robust shield against the deleterious effects of ultraviolet (UV) rays, mitigating premature aging and diminishing the susceptibility to skin cancer."

She further added that "Hydration emerges as an important part in the pursuit of enduring skin elasticity and resilience. For fine lines and static wrinkles, your dermatologist may prescribe creams, serums, or chemical peels to stimulate collagen synthesis. In the case of dynamic wrinkles, Botox may be advised. Additionally, for pigmentation issues, skin lightening therapy is recommended, along with options such as peels and lasers that are readily available."

At last, Dr. Shikha said, "A nutrient-rich diet, replete with antioxidants sourced from fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, becomes paramount. These antioxidants emerge as stalwart guardians against oxidative stress—the nemesis of youthful skin. Omega-3 fatty acids, abundant in fish and flaxseed, become allies in the battle for skin vitality. A meticulous skincare routine, encompassing the trifecta of cleansing, toning, and moisturizing, becomes a daily ritual. Peptides and hyaluronic acid, woven into this routine, fortify the skin's structure, enhancing firmness and hydration."
