Rosemary water is a magical solution many people are unaware of, yet it works wonders on hair, particularly for promoting hair growth. But does it truly deliver on its promise? We have insights from an expert shedding light on its potential benefits. Rosemary is packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that help improve scalp health by boosting blood circulation to hair follicles. This process can enhance hair growth and reduce hair thinning over time.
Rosemary, a plant with a rich history of use since ancient times, has shown promise in studies where its extract improved blood circulation to the scalp and nourished hair follicles. These benefits indirectly support hair growth. However, it is important to note that there is still no conclusive scientific evidence proving that rosemary water accelerates hair growth.
In a conversation with Jagran English, Dr. Sonia Tekchandani, a member of the DocTube Community (created by CLIRNET), and an aesthetic dermatologist and trichologist at Tender Skin International, Mumbai, and The Wedding Clinic, Pune, shared her perspective on whether rosemary water truly makes hair grow faster.
According to Dr. Sonia Tekchandani, "With technology at our fingertips, where the latest news and trends are readily available, it’s important not to fall for every idea, especially those related to hair or skin. Currently, rosemary water is creating a buzz for hair growth. It can be considered an alternative treatment for individuals unwilling to try conventional drugs like minoxidil or those allergic to it. However, it is always advisable to first consult a dermatologist for hair loss and explore other treatment options."
