The kidneys get rid of extra fluids and waste by making urine. This natural filtering process works better when you drink enough water. But drinking a lot of water doesn't help the kidneys get cleaner or stronger. In fact, putting too much water into the body can sometimes put more stress on the kidneys and make the blood's important electrolytes less concentrated.

How Much Water Do Your Kidneys Really Need?

Dr Varun Mittal stated, “A lot of people don't know how much water their bodies really need, but it's very important for keeping the kidneys healthy. A lot of people believe that everyone should drink eight to ten glasses of water every day. The truth is that how much water each person needs depends on their age, body size, climate, level of activity, and overall health.”

1. Listening to your body is a simple way to learn how to stay hydrated. Thirst is a natural way for the body to tell you it needs fluids.

2. The colour of your urine can also give you a hint. Urine that is light yellow or pale straw colored usually means that you are well hydrated. Dark yellow urine, on the other hand, may mean that you need to drink more fluids.
