According to WebMD, this diet encourages you to eat fruit, become aware of your hunger and fullness levels, and eat dinner by 8 PM. There are not any strict meal plans or calorie counts. For lunch and dinner, you can eat what you usually eat, but stop when you are 80% full, and should skip dessert after dinner.

The Asa Banana Diet also recommends individuals hit the bed by midnight, keep a diet journal and focus on achieving a good night’s sleep. The diet encourages weight loss as you consume fewer calories.

What To Eat And Avoid In This Diet?

The Japanese Morning Banana diet suggests you eat bananas and drink room-temperature water. If you are still hungry even after consuming a banana, wait 15 to 30 minutes and you can eat something else.

For lunch and dinner, you can consume the foods that you normally eat. The diet recommends that you eat whatever you want, but it recommends Japanese food, especially rice for lunch. It allows you to eat only one snack each day in the afternoon, which is also the only time sweets are allowed.

Benefits Of Japanese Morning Banana Diet

The enzymes found in bananas promote fullness and satiety. Consuming bananas in the morning is extremely healthy as they fuel you with abundant energy and keep you fuller for longer hours. According to WebMD, bananas are best known for containing potassium, which is a big player in heart health. This vital mineral and electrolyte carries a small electrical charge, causing nerve cells to send out signals for your heart to beat regularly and muscles to contract. Foods with potassium help protect against hardening of the arteries (atherosclerosis) and high blood pressure.
