Karwa Chauth 2025: Karwa Chauth is observed on the fourth lunar day of the dark fortnight of the Hindu month of Kartik. Also known as Karak Chaturthi, Karwa Chauth holds a deep cultural significance in the life of married women and they observe a day-long fast or 'nirjala vrat' from dawn till moonrise for the health and longevity of their husband. The fast is observed with the belief that it ensures the long life, health, and prosperity of their husbands, making it a festival deeply rooted in love and dedication. Women break their fast by looking at the moon and their husbands' faces through a sieve.
