Normal Blood Sugar Range: Blood glucose or blood sugar levels are known as the main sugar in the bloodstream. It is the main source of the body’s energy and is important to maintain healthy levels of blood sugar for optimal health. High blood sugar can cause diabetes, which is a long-lasting health condition that affects the body’s ability to produce or use insulin. What Is Normal Blood Sugar Range?
According to the Mayo Clinic, a fasting blood sugar level of less than 100 mg/dL (5.6 mmol/L) is normal. A fasting blood sugar level from 100 to 125 mg/dL (5.6 to 6.9 mmol/L) is considered prediabetes. If it's 126 mg/dL (7 mmol/L) or higher on two separate tests, you have diabetes. Low Blood Sugar Range
An individual with low fasting blood glucose concentration (hypoglycemia) below 70 mg/dL (3.9 mmol/L) – will experience dizziness, sweating, palpitations, blurred vision and other symptoms that have to be monitored. Increased fasting blood glucose concentration (hyperglycemia) is an indicator of a higher diabetes risk, states WHO.
Symptoms Of Excess Sugar In Blood
The warning signs of excessive blood sugar can be so mild that you don't notice them. Some people don't find out they have it until they get problems from long-term damage caused by the disease. With type 1 Diabetes, the symptoms usually happen quickly, in a matter of days or a few weeks.
Early symptoms of excess sugar in the bloodstream include Increased thirst (polydipsia) and/or hunger, frequent urination (peeing), headache, blurred vision, fatigue, weight loss, vaginal yeast infections, skin infections and slow-healing cuts and sores.

The Cleveland Clinic states that many people don’t experience symptoms until their blood sugar is 250 mg/dL or higher. People who haven’t yet been diagnosed with diabetes typically experience these symptoms at lower levels.
How To Manage Blood Sugar Levels?
