Television was invented by a Scottish engineer, John Logie Baird, in 1924. It was introduced in India on September 15, 1959, in New Delhi, with the guidance of UNESCO. Initially, in India, programs were broadcast twice a week for an hour a day on themes such as community health, traffic, road sense, citizens’ rights and duties towards the nation.
