Students of secondary and higher secondary schools in the district will soon receive structured preparation for competitive examinations, with the Bihar Education Project Council (Bihar Shiksha Pariyojana Parishad) set to introduce online coaching facilities from the upcoming academic session.

Under the initiative, students from Classes 9 to 12 will be covered. Foundation courses will be provided for Classes 9 and 10, while students of Classes 11 and 12 will receive focused preparation for engineering and medical entrance examinations. In addition, students who do not wish to pursue engineering or medical streams will be prepared for other competitive exams, including the Railway, SSC, and Banking services.

To ensure quality training, discussions are underway with reputed coaching institutes, and support is also being sought from premier institutions such as IIT Kanpur and IIT Patna. Online classes of one to one-and-a-half hours will be conducted in addition to regular school classes, with subject experts from various institutes taking the sessions.

Guidelines for the implementation of online classes have been issued to the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. Student progress will be assessed every week to monitor preparation levels.

Most secondary and higher secondary schools in the district already have smart classroom facilities. Nevertheless, Block Education Officers have been asked to submit detailed reports on the availability of smart classes and Wi-Fi connectivity. Schools equipped with smart classrooms have already been instructed regarding internet facilities.

Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan District Programme Officer Sujit Kumar Das said that reports have been sought from Block Education Officers, and further action will be taken after reviewing them.
