Blue Cloud Softech Solutions has notified stock exchanges that its board of directors will meet on May 7, 2025, to discuss options for fundraising and to look into acquisition opportunities in India and overseas. As a result, shares of the company might be in focus when the trading in equity markets opens the next day. The software company stated in a regulatory filing that, if necessary, the board may also consider holding an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) or holding a postal ballot to get shareholders' support for the suggested initiatives.

This development follows the company's acquisition of a $3.2 million contract from a client in the United States. The agreement calls for offering a Select Client Implementation Service along with a full range of health maintenance services under the "Blu Health" brand. The business anticipates that this offering will boost its presence in the US market and produce strong revenue growth.

"A meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, 07th Day of May 2025, inter alia, to discuss regarding potential acquisition in India or Outside India," the company said in an exchange filing.

Blue Cloud Softech had split its stock earlier this year, lowering the face value of its equity shares from Rs 2 to Re 1 each in a 1:1 ratio. The action was taken to increase investor participation and enhance liquidity.

As a result of increased geopolitical tensions and profit-booking in some heavyweights, such as the Bajaj twins, the benchmark indices, the Sensex and Nifty, ended Wednesday's trading session flat for the second consecutive session, reflecting the cautious mood of the overall market. The BSE Sensex fluctuated over 600 points during the day before dropping 46.14 points, or 0.06%, to close at 80,242.24. However, the decline was somewhat mitigated by ongoing inflows of foreign funds.

Analysts predict that investor attention will now turn to Blue Cloud Softech's board meeting results, particularly any declarations regarding plans for capital raising and strategic expansion.
