Chaitanyanand Saraswati, who presents himself internationally as a management and spiritual guru, is embroiled in allegations of sexually harassing 19 female students. He is accused of harassing students over a long period while serving as the director of the Shri Sharda Institute of Indian Management in Vasant Kunj. The police have now issued a lookout circular against him.
On his academic and research profiles, Chaitanyanand has claimed to have obtained an MBA and a PhD from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago. He has also asserted that he completed post-doctoral research and holds seven honorary D.Litt degrees. In these profiles, he describes himself as an internationally renowned author with 28 books and 143 research papers to his name. According to police sources, most of these claims are suspected to be false and are being thoroughly investigated.
He also claims that Apple founder Steve Jobs described his book, 'Forget Classroom Learning,' as an excellent work on management. Similarly, he has alleged that former US President Barack Obama mentioned his book, 'Transforming Personality,' several times in his speeches. It is also claimed that this book was a bestseller in Europe and North America and that it features a message of praise from former United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.

In his author biography, Chaitanyanand claims to be a renowned professor, author, speaker, academic, spiritual philosopher, and a leading figure in management academia. However, according to the Delhi Police, most of the information in his academic profile could be fraudulent. The investigation has revealed that Chaitanyanand had allegedly been harassing women for nearly two decades, with previous cases of harassment also registered against him in 2009 and 2016.
