The Delhi High Court has refused to stay the Delhi government's order directing private schools to constitute school-level committees to regulate fees.

The court declined the request during a hearing held on Thursday regarding the constitutional validity of the Delhi government's order. However, the court extended the deadline for forming the committees to January 20, replacing the earlier deadline of January 10.

Deadlines Extended

A bench comprising Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tejas Karia also stated that the deadline for school management to submit fee proposals to the committee would be extended from January 25 to February 5.

The court passed this order while hearing various petitions filed by private schools. These petitions challenged the constitutional validity of the Delhi School Education (Transparency in Fee Fixation and Regulation) Act, 2025.
