Delhi Weather AQI Today: Delhi continues to reel under cold wave conditions and dense fog, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) registering a slight improvement, reaching 297 points at 7 am on Sunday. Mercury dipped as low as 2.9 degrees Celsius as Ayanagar recorded the lowest minimum temperature on Sunday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for cold wave conditions and fog. The national capital, Delhi, recorded the season’s lowest minimum temperature at 4.2 degrees Celsius on Saturday, January 10.

Delhi Weather Today: Alert For Cold Wave Conditions, Fog

- The India Meteorological Department (IMD), in its latest weather forecast released on Saturday evening, issued a yellow alert in Delhi for cold wave conditions in isolated places. The city is expected to have mainly clear skies and shallow to moderate fog in the early hours of Sunday morning, January 11.

- The minimum temperature today is expected to range between 3 to 5 degrees Celsius.

- IMD forecasts cold wave conditions for two days as the minimum temperature is expected to plunge further.

Delhi Weather Forecast: Cold Waves To Persist, Temp To Fall Further

- According to the Meteorological Department, there will be no significant change in minimum temperatures during the next 3 days. However, after that, an increase of 1 to 2 degrees Celsius is expected.

- As a result, minimum temperatures are likely to remain 1.6 to 3.0 degrees Celsius below normal during the next 3 days.

- Meanwhile, the sky is expected to remain mainly clear during the next 3 days. After that, partly cloudy conditions will prevail for the following 4 days.

- Additionally, cold wave conditions are likely at some places during the next 2 days.

Delhi Pollution: AQI Improves Slightly, No Stations Under ‘Severe’ Category

Delhi, on Sunday, registered an improvement in Air Quality Index (AQI) from yesterday’s 361 at 7 am, reaching 297 on Sunday at the same time, according to Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data. Stations like Anand Vihar and Ashok Vihar, which often register ‘severe’ air quality, observed significant improvement on Sunday.
