After the success of the Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba and Khel Khel Mein, Taapsee Pannu has commenced shooting for her next movie, Gandhari, an action-thriller directed by Devashish Makhija and produced by Kanika Dhillon. The actress on Wednesday shared a series of photos from the set.
In the photos, Taapsee can be seen facing her back towards the camera and posing in attire resembling that of a village woman. Director Devashish Makhija and producer Kanika Dhillon are also in the frame. Along with the post, Taapsee expressed gratitude towards the almighty and wrote, "Dear God, grant my request so that I may never deviate from doing good deeds. That, I shall have no fear of the enemy when I go into battle and with determination I will be victorious. That, I may teach my mind to only sing your praises. And when the time comes, I should die fighting heroically on the field of battle. Let the war begin."
Gandhari marks Taapsee's reunion with producer Kanika Dhillon after the success of their Haseen Dilruba franchise. They also have worked together in the film Manmarziyaan, co-starring Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal. The action thriller drama is poised to explore the love and bond between mother and child. Taapsee will be seen playing the role of a fierce mom on a mission.
Meanwhile, Taapsee was last seen in Khel Khel Mein. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film stars Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, Aditya Seal and Pragya Jaiswal. The movie faced a clash with Raj Kummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 2
and John Abraham and Sharvari starrer Vedaa. The film did not perform well at the box office but garnered praise from the audience.
The actress also grabbed eyeyone's eyeballs with her stellar performance in Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, which was released on Netflix on August 9. The movie also featured Vikrant Massey, Sunny Kaushal, and Jimmy Shergill in key roles.
