Adah Sharma's grandmother battled ulcerative colitis and diverticulitis before passing away on Sunday, November 23, at around 5:30 AM. She was in the hospital for a month. Adah and her grandmother, whom she affectionately referred to as Paati, shared a strong relationship. The Kerala Story actor's social media was full with happy memories, particularly the 'Party with Paati' videos that went viral.

Adah Sharma will travel to Kerala for a memorial service with her mother. The Kerala Story actor has not yet released an official statement about her grandmother's demise. "Adah is closest to her grandmother than anyone else. She lives with her grandmother. Her grandmother has been in the hospital for the past month. Adah and her mother will be having a memorial service in their hometown in Kerala," said a source close to the actor, as per the Free Press Journal.

Adah Sharma's relationship with her grandma has frequently surfaced in the public domain. Adah Sharma had previously mentioned the playful nature of her grandma. She revealed in a 2021 interview that her grandmother frequently read the comments on her posts and wasn't afraid to stand up for her in the face of internet criticism. "This is where the tables turn and I turn into the one asking her to not take it too seriously. My grandma is my warrior; she will stand up for me verbally and probably even physically," she said.
