Actor Vikrant Massey recently left his fans in shock with his plans to take a long break from acting. The actor created a buzz on social media with his announcement, which led people to wonder if he was considering retirement. Amidst all this, the 12th Fail star was spotted in Dehradun and is currently gearing up for his next movie, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, alongside Shanaya Kapoor. This appearance comes after his viral retirement announcement.

Vikrant Massey Resumes Work

Vikrant, along with Shanaya and the Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan team, was snapped at the film's event in Dehradun. A video of him meeting Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is going viral on the internet. In the viral clip, he can be seen donning a black puffer jacket and blue denim jeans. His interaction with the Uttarakhand CM and his presence at the event caught the attention of his fans.

Vikrant Massey's Viral Retirement Post

On December 2, Vikrant penned a long note on Instagram, which read, "The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support. But as I move forward, I realize it's time to recalibrate and go back home. As a husband, father, and son. And also as an actor."

"So, in 2025, we will meet each other for one last time. Until the time deems right. Last two movies and many years of memories. Thank you again. For everything and everything in between. Forever indebted," he added.

 

As soon as the post went viral, Vikrant Massey came forward to clarify that he is taking a break and not retirement. He revealed that he made the decision to focus on his family and health.
Vikrant said in his statement, "Acting is all I can do. And it has given me everything I have. My physical and mental health have taken a hit. I just want to take some time off and better my craft. I feel a sense of monotony at the moment. My post has been misinterpreted, suggesting that I am quitting or retiring from acting. I want to take some time off to focus on my family and health. I will be back when the time feels right."

Vikrant Massey's Upcoming Movies

Vikrant Massey is garnering praise for his performance in The Sabarmati Report, which released in theaters on November 15, 2024. The movie also stars Raashii Khanna, Riddhi Dogra, Barkha Singh, Nazneen Patni, and Aryan Ardent in pivotal roles. Besides this, he also has Yaar Jigri in his kitty.
