Mumbai: In a major operation, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized cocaine worth approximately Rs 11.25 crore (approximately Rs 112.5 million) at Mumbai International Airport. A total of 2 kg 25 grams of cocaine was recovered in two separate incidents. Four foreign nationals arriving from Addis Ababa have been arrested in connection with the case.
According to officials, an investigation was conducted at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport based on a tip-off.

Questioning suspicious passengers and searching their luggage revealed an attempt to smuggle cocaine into India. The accused had concealed the drug in a very clever manner.
According to DRI officials, the value of the seized cocaine in the international market is estimated to be approximately Rs 112.5 million (approximately Rs 112.5 million). The four arrested foreign nationals are suspected of being linked to an international drug trafficking ring.

A case has been registered against the accused under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS Act). DRI is investigating for whom this cocaine was being brought to India and who else is involved in this smuggling racket.
