A tribal girl from Sidhi district, Anamika Baiga, was seen crying and pleading for help at a public program in Seoni, where Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav was laying the foundation for major development projects. Anamika, who dreams of becoming a doctor, appealed to the Chief Minister for financial support to pursue her education.
In a video clip, Anamika is heard saying, "I am a Baiga tribal. I want to become a doctor, but my father doesn't have enough money to educate me."
Despite her desperate pleas to the security personnel to allow her to meet the Chief Minister, Anamika was not given the opportunity to speak with him directly. She later shared that she had already approached local MLAs, MPs, and district officials, but had received no support.
Upon learning about Anamika’s situation particularly her preparation for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and the financial struggles she faced for coaching and hostel fees, Chief Minister Yadav assured her of help. Anamika has not yet taken the NEET exam.
On social media platform X, the Chief Minister posted, “Anamika requested assistance for her studies. After gathering the necessary information, we found that she is preparing for NEET and needs support for coaching and hostel expenses. We’ve directed the concerned authorities to make proper arrangements. The state government will provide all possible assistance once she is admitted to a medical college.”
The Chief Minister also expressed his confidence in Anamika’s potential, saying, “I am certain that Anamika will become a doctor and make Madhya Pradesh proud.”
Earlier on Friday, Anamika had tried to meet Chief Minister Yadav during a public program in Sidhi district to express her concerns but was stopped by the police. She was seen pleading with folded hands, in tears, requesting permission to meet the Chief Minister, but was not allowed to approach him.
In an interview later, Anamika explained that her dream of becoming a doctor seemed out of reach, as her parents work as daily-wage laborers and cannot afford her education. Despite reaching out to both the Sidhi district collector and local MLA Kunar Singh Tekam on two separate occasions, she received no assistance, prompting her to seek the Chief Minister’s help.

During his visit to Sidhi on Friday, Chief Minister Yadav laid the foundation stone for 209 development projects worth Rs 201.64 crore in the Sihawal Assembly constituency.
