Karnataka Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that several districts of Karnataka are set to witness cold waves and fog for the next few days. The weather department stated that the temperature in the southern districts is set to drop by two to three degrees Celsius in the upcoming days. The presence of fog, especially in the morning hours, leads to inconveniences for the commuters. The IMD also stated that the capital city, Bengaluru, is also likely to witness a cold wave for the next few days. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings in the early hours.
While providing details, the weather department stated that several coastal districts, including Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, and Uttara Kannada, are set to witness a cold wave at least till January 25. It further stated that the southern interior districts like Kolar, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore Urban, Bellary, Chamarajanagar, Tumkur, Chikkaballapur, Ramanagara, Mandya and Mysore, Chikkamagaluru, Chitradurga, Davangere, Kodagu, Hassan, and Shivamogga are also set to witness cold and fog.

The capital city, Bengaluru, is also likely to witness similar weather conditions for the next few days, the weather department informed. While the maximum temperature in the city is likely to be calculated at 28 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is set to remain around 14 degrees Celsius. The IMD further stated that the fog in the early hours is set to trouble the commuters.
The IMD has stated that the temperature is likely to surge gradually after the Republic Day, adding that heavy wind will clear the fog during the same period of time. It further stated that the other southern states, including Kerala and Andhra Pradesh, are also set to witness a cold wave for the next few days.
