Chennai Power Cut On September 11: In a major update for the residents of Chennai, the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) has announced that several regions will witness power outages on Friday amid the ongoing maintenance works. The authority advised the residents to stay updated and plan their days accordingly. However, TANGEDCO assured that the supply will soon be restored soon after the necessary maintenance works.
"Power supply will be suspended in the following places in Chennai tomorrow from 9 am to 2 pm due to maintenance work by the Electricity Board. Power supply will be provided after the maintenance work is completed by 2 pm. Therefore, the public is requested to take the necessary precautions and cooperate with the Electricity Board employees," the authority said in its statement.
Outage Announced In Several Areas
The authority stated that several regions of Guindy, including Munusamy Street, Achuthan Nagar 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Streets, Thanakotti Raja Street, Zee Tamil, Cibet, SS Block, Poonamalli Highway, South Section, Patavettamman Kovil Street, and Lazar Street. Raj Bhavan Kannikapuram, Kulmohar Avenue, Five Furlong Road, Satani Pettai 1st and 2nd Streets, Mandhopu 1st to 3rd Streets, Chakrapani Road, Link Road, Part of Narasinghapuram, and Pillaiyar Kovil Street will witness a a power outage.
Apart from this, the other regions of Nandambakkam, such as Mahalakshmi Nagar, MG Road, Kolapakkam, Bhajanai Koil Street, VIP Anugraha, Urvilla, Ramachandra Nagar, Pozhichalur Pallavaram Main Road, and Matha Town, will also witness a power cut.
Authority Issues Guidelines
The residential areas of Nanganallur, including Chengalani Amman Temple Street, Bhagat Singh Street, Muthu Mohammed Street, Purumthivakkam Corporation Office, Main Road, Rajeshwari Nagar, Chengalvarayan Street, Thangavel Street, Union Carbide Colony, Velayudham Street, Ullagaram, and Purumthivakkam, will experience similar conditions.
The authority stated that multiple regions of Adambakkam, such as Mohanpuri 1st to 5th streets, EP Colony 1st to 5th streets and cross streets, EP Colony main road, Joseph Colony, Ganesh Nagar, LH Nagar, and Vel Nagar, will witness the outage.
