Retired Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra Becomes First Ram Temple Trust CEO
Now, the focus on the Ram Temple issue has once again turned to the Air Force. Retired Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra, who served in the IAF for over 43 years, has been appointed the first CEO of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
The IAF demonstrated unparalleled valour during Operation Sindoor, making the entire nation proud. The operation was launched on May 7, 2025, in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack that claimed the lives of 26 innocent citizens.
During Operation Sindoor, the IAF carried out air strikes against terrorist infrastructure linked to the Pakistan-based terrorist groups Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba in the neighbouring country. India stated that these strikes were focused on terrorist infrastructure, not civilian facilities.
IAF's Role In Transporting NEET Question Papers
Following the leak of the NEET exam in May 2026, students protested nationwide, but the exam was rescheduled immediately after the leak. The IAF was also tasked with conducting the exam smoothly and quickly.
When the NEET re-exam was held in June 2026, the IAF was entrusted with a very sensitive logistical task: to transport packets of confidential NEET-UG 2026 re-exam question papers across the country.
The papers were airlifted to over 18 regional centres and 20 locations across the country. The goal was to ensure the safe delivery of question papers to their destinations and minimise their handling, following the cancellation of the original NEET-UG exam due to a paper-leak controversy. The IAF carried out the mission with complete secrecy.
Ex-IAF Official Gets Big Responsibility Of Ram Temple Trust
Retired IAF Air Marshal Mishra has been appointed the first CEO of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust on Wednesday, tasked with overseeing the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
In his first interview after being appointed as the CEO of the trust, Mishra described his selection as a matter of good fortune and considered it a blessing from Lord Ram. "I consider it a great privilege that they chose me from among so many candidates. I also consider it a blessing from Lord Ram that after 43 years of service to the country in the Air Force, he has given me the opportunity to serve the Shri Ram Temple and the devotees of Shri Ram," he added.
Krishna Mohan, the trust's interim general secretary, said the decision was made after discussions at a trust meeting. He also highlighted Mishra's background and his involvement with Operation Sindoor, saying Mishra played an important role during Operation Sindoor.
