Instagram Gold Notes: Instagram, Meta's photo and video-sharing platform, added a notable change to the Notes section. A few users have reported seeing gold-themed notes within the Notes section of Instagram accounts. The Notes are located in the in-app messenger above the DMs section. This space is slowly turning gold in some cases, confusing users about why this is happening.
First reported by news outlet WFAA, users must use a specific keyword to add a gold note on Instagram. This is aimed to mark the Paris Olympics 2024 celebrations. This serves as a cheerful medium to showcase support by uploading a gold Instagram Note for your profile while adding a unique golden flair to posted notes. However, users must note that only a few keywords turn notes into gold colour.
Only Olympics-linked keywords transform the background colour of a note to golden. The most common one can include adding the word "gold" to a note. Other ways can also include select emojis. According to the report, the keywords include: 'Gold', 'Olympics', 'Olympian', 'Podium', 'Victory', 'Medal', 'Goat' and 'Torch'.
Moreover, the flashlight emoji, Goat emoji, 1st place medal emoji and sports medal emoji are among the elements that can trigger a golden background on Instagram when added to a note. If these things do not work, you must update your Instagram app to the latest version before testing the enhancement.
Several users have shared their reactions on Reddit and X (formerly Twitter). "My notes are gold without using any of those words," a user posted. "'Champion' also works :)," another one added on Reddit. Others requested pink and neon notes on the platform.
Meanwhile, the company tests and introduces fresh enhancements at regular intervals. The company is also rolling out an increased limit for carousel posts on the platform. With the enhancement, users can upload up to 20 photos and videos to carousel feeds. You can read more on this here.
