Gaming Tablet 5 Pro Launch Confirmed
In a post on Weibo, General Manager Jiang Chao confirmed that the launch of the company's latest tablet will be in China in April or May of 2026. The exact dates of its launch are still behind curtains, as the company executive says it has been kept a secret because of company rules, and for now people will have to wait for the official announcement to get the exact launch date of the device. Chao has affirmed his confidence in the device and has expressed that the Gaming Tablet 5 Pro "is amazing!" It will definitely not disappoint you (translated from Chinese)."
The Gaming Tablet 5 Pro is expected to take over from last year’s Gaming Tablet 3 Pro. The launch will likely begin in China, with a global rollout planned later.
If the brand follows its usual pattern, the tablet could arrive internationally under a different name. For context, the previous model was rebranded as the Red Magic Astra outside China, so a similar move could happen again. The global release is also expected to come a few months after its debut in China.
Expected Features
Reports point to an OLED display with high refresh rates being on the anvil for the Gaming Tablet 5 Pro. Early figures and rumors suggest that the display could support as high as 165 Hz, but there is no official confirmation on the details yet. As far as the silicon inside is concerned, it is expected to house a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. For cooling, which seems to be the focus this time, the company has reportedly been developing a new system that uses PC-grade material to deliver consistent performance when long-duration gaming is involved. The device will supposedly have a new interface as well, but with rising chip and memory costs, the pricing of the device is expected to see a bump compared to its previous models.
The Red Magic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro pricing started at CNY 3,999, which is approximately 47,000 INR for the base 12+256GB version, and CNY 4,699 (Rs. 55,000) and CNY 5,999 (roughly Rs. 60,000) for the 16+512GB and 24+1TB versions, respectively.
