A woman filed a police complaint on Tuesday evening alleging that she was raped and blackmailed by Kishun Gupta, a medical store owner at Majnu Chauraha. According to the complaint, the woman, whose husband works in Dubai, visited the store on the afternoon of September 19 seeking treatment for anxiety.
She alleges that Gupta provided her with a sedative under the guise of anxiety medication. After she lost consciousness, Gupta allegedly raped her and filmed the act. When she regained consciousness, he reportedly showed her the video and threatened to release it if she reported him. The woman claims that for the next three months, Gupta forced her into a sexual relationship using the video as leverage.
The Counter-Allegation And Police Findings
Distressed by the ongoing harassment, the woman contacted the accused on December 17. During this meeting, she secretly filmed a sexual encounter with him and subsequently filed a case at the Khorabar police station.
However, subsequent police interrogation and investigation revealed a different narrative. Police findings suggest that the woman and the accused had been involved in a consensual relationship for a long time. Investigators believe the woman recorded the video on December 17 in an attempt at mutual blackmail. When this attempt failed, she proceeded to file the rape case.

Police Action
Following the investigation, the Khorabar police arrested Kishun Gupta late Wednesday evening. Circle Officer (CO) Cantt, Yogendra Singh, confirmed the arrest and stated that while the investigation into the complex nature of the relationship and the blackmail allegations continues, the accused has been taken into custody.
Gupta is scheduled to be presented in court on Thursday for further legal proceedings.
