Lucknow Gears Up For UPPSC PCS Prelims: 27,456 Candidates To Appear On Oct 12; Check Time And Guidelines

The State Services Examination will be held on October 12th at 59 centers in Lucknow, with 27,456 candidates participating. The District Magistrate has directed that the examination must strictly follow the Public Service Commission's guidelines. The examination will be conducted in two shifts, and magistrates have been deployed for security arrangements. The centers will be monitored by CCTV cameras.

Lucknow Gears Up For UPPSC PCS Prelims: 27,456 Candidates To Appear On Oct 12; Check Time And Guidelines
Upper Subordinate Service Preliminary Examination to be held at 59 centers on the 12th.

Lucknow is set to host the Combined State or Upper Subordinate Service (Preliminary) Examination and the Assistant Conservator of Forests or Regional Forest Officer Service (Preliminary) Examination this Sunday, October 12. A total of 27,456 candidates will appear for the exams across 59 centres in the city.

In preparation, District Magistrate (DM) Vishakh G held a meeting with centre administrators, nodal officers, and magistrates, instructing them to ensure strict compliance with the Public Service Commission's guidelines for a smooth and fair examination process.

Key Arrangements and Timings

During the meeting at the Public Service Commission Examination Building, the DM outlined the logistical and security arrangements:

Exam Schedule: The examination will be conducted in two shifts.

First Shift: 9:30 am to 11:30 am

Second Shift: 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm

Supervision: A total of 59 sector magistrates and 59 static magistrates have been appointed to oversee the process.

Security: Sector magistrates will be responsible for delivering the question papers to the examination centres under police security.

Centre Readiness: The DM instructed that all CCTV cameras at the centres must be checked to ensure they are fully functional. Additionally, proper arrangements must be made for candidates to deposit their mobile phones and other personal items outside the examination halls.

The meeting was attended by Vivek Srivastava, Deputy Secretary of the Commission; Jyoti Gautam, Additional District Magistrate (Civil Supplies); and Rakesh Kumar, District Inspector of Schools.
