The Ecotech 1 police have dismantled a gang involved in stealing aluminum cables from the under-construction Noida International Airport in Jewar. Four individuals have been arrested, including a site engineer working on the project who was allegedly colluding with the thieves.

The Insider Connection

The police investigation revealed a significant security breach involving an insider. The theft was being orchestrated with the help of Shivam Sharma, a site engineer employed by the Tata company, which is responsible for the construction of the airport's terminal building.

  • Seven bundles of aluminum cable with an estimated market value of Rs 15 lakh.
