In secondary schools affiliated with the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council, conducting classes for other grades alongside the pre-board examinations for Class 10 and 12 will be mandatory. If studies in other classes are disrupted due to pre-board exams at any school, action will be taken against the concerned school as per regulations. Many secondary schools are not conducting regular classes for other grades during the pre-board examinations, which is affecting students' studies. Upon receiving this information, the Secondary Education Department has taken a strict stance.

Strict Instructions Issued To District Inspectors

Director of Secondary Education (Acting) Manoj Kumar Dwivedi has issued instructions to all District Inspectors of Schools in the state. Citing letters sent by the council's secretary last year and a government order, he stated that the written pre-board examinations for Class 10 and 12 are being conducted at the school level in the second week of January. Taking this situation seriously, all District Inspectors of Schools have been instructed to ensure in their respective districts that studies in other classes continue to run smoothly alongside the pre-board examinations.

Impact Of Closures On Syllabus And Students

It has come to notice that many schools grant leave to students after the pre-board exams. This affects their studies. Due to the closure of other classes during the pre-boards, the students' curriculum was not being completed on time. The halt in regular studies was causing difficulties for weaker students in understanding subjects, while the revision and practice of other students were also being affected. In many schools, assigning teachers entirely to examination duty left classrooms empty, which broke the continuity of students' studies.

Ensuring Timely Preparation And Reduced Pressure

Now, with the implementation of these instructions, the uninterrupted conduct of all classes will ensure the timely completion of the curriculum, enable regular revision, and improve students' preparation. This will also prevent unnecessary pressure on students during examination time.
