According to Isha Duhan, Managing Director of Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (PVVNL), works worth Rs 63.43 crore will be undertaken in urban areas, while Rs 79.36 crore will be spent on rural areas. These measures will enhance power supply reliability, and in the event of major faults, it will no longer be necessary to cut electricity to an entire substation or feeder, minimising disruption for consumers.

The initiative is expected to significantly improve electricity quality and reliability for households and businesses in both urban and rural areas of Meerut and Baghpat.
