Baba Siddique Murder Case: In a new development in the NCP leader Baba Siddique murder case, Mumbai Police has issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against Shubham Lonkar, an accused in the murder case, who is out on bail in another case related to keeping firearms. Apart from Shubham, the LOC was also issued against absconding Shivkumar Gautam and history-sheeter Mohammad Zeeshan Akthar. The LOC is issued to restrict their movement and a possible escape from the country.
Baba Siddique on Saturday was killed in front of his son's office in Bandra East, Mumbai. The Mumbai Police have arrested four individuals so far, including Girmail Baljit Singh (23) and Dharamraj Rajesh Kashyap (19) from Uttar Pradesh. Both are alleged shooters in the case, and others arrested include Harishkumar Balakram Nisad (23) and co-conspirator Pravin Lonkar, Shubham Lonkar's brother.
Who is Shubham Lonkar?
Shubham Lonkar is a Pune-based history-sheeter who is associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. He runs a dairy in Pune and was questioned by the police in June over a firing incident outside actor Salman Khan's residence in Bandra. His links with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang were revealed during an interrogation where he was linked to Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of Lawrence Bishnoi.
He was arrested in an Arms Act case in the Akola district of Maharashtra after over ten firearms were recovered from the location. Shubham was released on bail on September 24 and is untraceable since then. The police claimed that he and other suspects planned the murder of Baba Siddique on social media platforms like Snapchat and Instagram.

What are Look-Out Circulars?
Lookout circulars are issued by the authorities against the criminals to prevent them from fleeing the country. It is issued to confirm that the accused is available all the time to be part of the investigation. Generally, a lookout circular is issued for a period of one year, unless exceeded further by the authorities.
