Covid-19 In Maharashtra: Three deaths with 105 fresh Covid-19 infections were reported in Maharashtra on Wednesday, according to the state health department. Maharashtra’s active caseload now stands at 526. 17 people have died due to Covid-related issues in the state since January 2025.

The three fresh deaths were reported from Chandrapur and Miraj districts. According to health officials the individuals suffered from conditions like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic bronchitis, and cardiac arrhythmia, a News18 report stated.

The daily cases saw an uptick with 19 more infections on Wednesday. 86 cases were reported on Tuesday. Mumbai continued to register maximum cases. Maharashtra has conducted over 12,880 Covid tests since January 2025. Out of these 959 samples have tested positive and total of 435 patients have recovered.

India, Kerala, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Delhi reported the maximum number of cases. The country’s active caseload has crossed the 4,000 mark. Five deaths were reorted in the past 24 hours, bringing the nationwide Covid death tally to 37 since January, 2025.

The public is advised to practice hand hygiene, cough etiquette, and avoid crowded places when unwell. Individuals with acute respiratory illness should self-monitor and seek medical care if symptoms worsen.
