Maharashtra Rain Forecast: Heavy to extremely heavy rainfall has been forecast throughout the day in many Maharashtra districts, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday, June 20. An orange alert has been issued in Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Bhandara, Nagpur, and Ratnagiri districts.

For the next three to four hours, isolated areas in Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Thane are expected to see heavy rainstorms, according to the IMD's forecast. Palghar, Raigad, and Thane districts are expected to see heavy to extremely heavy rains for the next twenty-four hours.

Mumbai has been under a "yellow alert" since Wednesday because of heavy rains. "Mumbai recorded moderate rainfall at most places in the last 24 hours," the IMD stated, attributing the development to the advancement of the southwest monsoon.

According to forecasts, the upcoming week will be rainy for Mumbai residents—rainfall patterns in the city range from heavy to light. The IMD forecast for June 19 is typically cloudy with heavy rain. The highest temperature is expected to be 26 to 33 degrees Celsius.
