Delhi Airport Technical Glitch Causes Flight Disruptions
Earlier on Friday, Delhi Airport experienced a major service outage, affecting over 300 domestic and international flights due to a technical glitch with the Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems, news agency PTI reported. The Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) handles more than 1,500 flight movements daily.
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) said the flight operations are facing disruptions at the Delhi Airport due to a technical issue in the AMSS, which supports air traffic control data.
Several airlines, such as IndiGo, Air India, Air India Express, SpiceJet, and Akasa Air, have also reported delays in flight operations due to ATC system problems.
