The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday demolished the ‘illegal’ portion of Juhu bar, where Worli hit and run case accused went before the accident on July 7. The action was taken under relevant provisions of the Bombay Foreign Liquor Rules, 1953. The bar was sealed by Mumbai police on Tuesday after conducting searches. Mihir Shah, the prime accused in the case, was served liquor in the Vice Global Tapas Bar.
The license of the bar was cancelled for serving hard liquor to Shah as he had not completed 25 years. The excise department also found various irregularities with the bar.

Mihir Shah was nabbed by the Mumbai police from Virar after remaining untraceable for three days. His location was ascertained by the police after one of his friends switched on his mobile phone.
Shah, son of Shiv Sena (Shinde) leader Rajesh Shah killed a woman by ramming his high-end BMW car into a scooter. The victim’s husband was injured in the incident.
The accident took place at nearly 5:30 AM when the deceased, along with her husband, riding on a bike, were passing in front of Atria Mall in Worli. A BMW car ran over them, and the woman, identified as Kaveri Nakhwa, was killed.
Shah escaped the incident site soon after the incident. He dialled his father after the incident, who asked him to leave the city. Rajesh said that their driver, who was in the accused’s car, would take the blame.

Then accused’s mother and sister were arrested by police over suspicion that they assisted him evade arrest. Earlier, Shah's father and the family driver, Rajrishi Bidawat, were also arrested. However, the accused’s father was granted bail.
