Mumbai: Central Railway has announced a megablock today on its suburban sections to carry out essential engineering and maintenance work. On the Main line, the block will affect the slow lines between CSMT Mumbai and Vidyavihar from 10:55 am to 3:55 pm. Commuters using the Up slow services departing Ghatkopar between 10:19 am and 3:52 pm will be diverted to the UP fast line between Vidyavihar and CSMT Mumbai.
These diverted services will halt at Kurla, Sion, Matunga, Dadar, Parel, and Byculla stations, ensuring connectivity for passengers during the block period.
On the Harbour line, a megablock will be in place between Panvel and Vashi stations, excluding the PORT line, from 11:05 am to 4:05 pm. Up Trans-Harbour services towards Thane departing Panvel from 11:02 am to 3:53 pm, and Down Trans-Harbour services towards Panvel departing Thane from 10:01 am to 3:20 pm, will remain cancelled. Passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly as these key services will be affected.
To facilitate travel during the block, special local trains will operate on the CSMT Mumbai-Vashi section. Trans-Harbour line services will remain available between Thane and Vashi/Nerul stations, and PORT line services will continue as usual. Commuters are encouraged to check train schedules in advance and allow extra time for travel while the maintenance work is underway.
The Western Railway (WR) will implement a five-hour jumbo block between Churchgate and Mumbai Central (local) stations on Sunday, November 2, to carry out essential maintenance work on tracks, signalling, and overhead equipment. The block will be in effect from 10:35 am to 3:35 pm, during which all Fast-line trains will be diverted to run on Slow lines between Churchgate and Mumbai Central, ensuring continuity of services.
