Mumbai Local Train Mega Block Update: Western Railways has announced a five-hour block for Mumbai local train on the UP and DOWN Fast lines between Santacruz and Goregaon stations. The services will be disrupted on Sunday, January 12, starting from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The block is being used to carry out essential maintenance on the tracks, signaling systems, and overhead equipment.

According to Shri Vineet Abhishek, the Chief Public Relations Officer quoted by the Financial Express, during the block period, all fast-line suburban trains will operate on the slow line between Goregaon and Borivali stations. In addition, some suburban train services will be canceled, and a few trains on the Andheri-Borivali route will be terminated at Goregaon on the Harbour line.

Transharbour Line: Thane- Vasi/Nerul Up and Dn Transharbour Lines from 11:10 AM to 4:10 PM

Services on the Up Trans-harbour line towards Thane, departing Vashi at 10:25 am and up to the 4:09 PM departure from Nerul, will be suspended. Down Trans-harbour line services to Vashi, Nerul, and Panvel, leaving Thane between 10:35 am and 4:07 PM, will also remain unavailable.

Western Line: Santacruz-Goregaon Up and Dn Fast Line from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

A Jumbo Block of five hours will be implemented on the UP and DOWN Fast lines between Santacruz and Goregaon stations from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, 12th January 2025, to facilitate maintenance work on tracks, signaling, and overhead equipment. During this period, all Fast line suburban trains will be rerouted to the Slow line between Goregaon and Borivali stations.
