Mumbai Metro Timing Update: Commuters using Mumbai Metro Lines 2A and 7 will face a temporary change in train timings next week. The Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Limited (MMMOCL) has announced revised schedules from October 12 to 18 to facilitate the integration of Metro Line 7 with the upcoming Line 9 Phase-I section, which connects Dahisar East to Kashi Gaon.

Mumbai Metro Line 2A And 7 Timings Changed

During this seven-day period, trains on both Metro Line 2A (Dahisar East–Andheri West) and Metro Line 7 (Gundavali–Ovaripada) will begin operations from 7 AM instead of the usual 5:25 AM. This change has been implemented to allow system integration and safety testing for the new line.

The Times Of India report cited Officials as stating thatthe adjustment is part of the final phase of trial runs for Line 9, an extension of the existing Red Line. Once fully operational, it will provide seamless metro connectivity from Andheri to Mira Bhayander.

- To Gundavali: 7:01 AM (Weekdays), 7:00 AM (Saturday), 7:04 AM (Sunday)

- To Andheri West: 7:06 AM (Weekdays), 6:58 AM (Saturday), 6:59 AM (Sunday)

From Dahisar East

- To Andheri West: 7:02 AM (All days)

- To Gundavali: 6:58 AM (Weekdays), 7:06 AM (Saturday), 7:01 AM (Sunday)

From Andheri West

- To Gundavali: 7:01 AM (Weekdays), 7:02 AM (Saturday), 7:04 AM (Sunday)

From Gundavali

- To Andheri West: 7:06 AM (Weekdays), 7:02 AM (Saturday), 7:00 AM (Sunday)

Mumbai Metro Update: Final Checks Before Line 9 Launch

The Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO) completed its inspection of the Line 9 Phase-I section on September 23. Independent safety assessments are now in progress. After successful evaluations, the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) will review the project for final approval ahead of the scheduled December launch.

MMMOCL has advised commuters to stay updated through the Mumbai 1 app, official social media handles and metro station display boards before planning their travel.
