Mumbai Tide Alert: Rainy days have returned in Mumbai after a short break, as residents on Saturday woke up to cloudy skies and spells of rain. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has placed Mumbai and Thane under a yellow alert for Sunday as more rains are expected in the coming days.

The city braces for very heavy rainfall with thunderstorms on Sunday. Lightning is expected toward evening and night in the suburbs. The maximum and minimum temperatures in the city are expected to range between 30 and 25 degrees Celsius.

BMC Tide Warning In Mumbai

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued a high tide warning for Mumbai residents due to heavy rainfall expected today. Here's what BMC said in its X post :

- Height: 3.39 meters
Low Tide Details:
- Time: 10:23 PM
- Height: 1.21 meters

The BMC advises residents to take necessary precautions and stay informed about the latest weather updates. Stay safe and plan accordingly.

According to a report by The Indian Express, Raigad district is under an orange alert until Tuesday morning due to expected heavy showers, although the intensity might remain relatively low. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of potential disruptions, including thunderstorms, gusty winds, and lightning.

Mumbai Weather Forecast: Wet Week Ahead

- With renewed spells of rain, the city braces for a wet week ahead, as the weather department has expected heavy to moderate scattered rain in the city.

- With cloudy skies and heavy showers, the Maximum and Minimum temperatures are likely to be around 29 and 24 °C on Monday.

- On 16 September, the intensity of rainfall is likely to ease, with moderate showers predicted. Skies will stay cloudy, and temperatures will range between 30°C and 24°C.

- September 17 is expected to see moderate rainfall with persistent cloudy skies. The forecast suggests that light to moderate rain will continue from September 18, accompanied by cloudy conditions.
