Mumbai Traffic Advisory: The 68th Death Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, known as "Mahaparinirvan Din," will be observed on December 6 at Chaitya Bhoomi, Shivaji Park, Dadar. Thousands of followers of Dr. Ambedkar are expected to visit the site from December 4 to 7, leading to significant traffic disruptions in the area.
To accommodate this large gathering and ensure safety, temporary traffic restrictions will be implemented starting at 6:00 AM on December 5 until midnight on December 7. Below are the details of the traffic arrangements and diversions for the public.

Mumbai Traffic Restrictions
1. Road Closures and One-Way Traffic:
Swatantryaveer Savarkar Road will be closed for vehicular traffic from the Shri Siddhivinayak Temple Junction to Hinduja Hospital. Local residents can access their homes by turning left at Yes Bank Junction and taking Pandurang Naik Road towards Rajabade Chowk.
S.K. Bole Road will operate as a one-way street from Shri Siddhivinayak Temple Junction to the Portuguese Church Junction. No entry will be allowed for vehicles coming from the southbound direction (Portuguese Church towards Shri Siddhivinayak Temple Junction).
Rande Road, Dnyaneshwar Mandir Road, Jambhekar Maharaj Road, Keluskar Road North and South and M.B. Raut Road will all be closed to all vehicular traffic.
T.H. Katariya Road will be closed for all vehicles from L.J. Road at Shobha Hotel Junction to Aasavari Junction.

Mumbai Traffic Advisory: Heavy vehicles will be restricted from entering the following roads:
S.V.S. Road from Mahim Junction to Hardikar Junction.
L.J. Road from Mahim Junction to Gadkari Junction.
Gokhale Road from Gadkari Junction to Dhanmil Naka.
Senapati Bapat Road from Mahim Railway Station to Vadacha Naka.
Tilak Bridge from Dadar T.T. Circle to Veer Kotwal Udyan and N.C. Kelkar Road.
Advisory For Mumbai Traffic Congestion
In case of heavy traffic congestion, the following alternative routes are advised:
1. For South-Bound Traffic: Vehicles heading south should take a left turn from Kalanagar Junction and use the Express Highway or Railway Station. Alternatively, they can proceed via the 60 ft road through Dharavi or turn onto Dr. B. A. Road. Drivers can also opt for the Bandra-Worli Sea Link to continue to their destinations. Traffic coming from Dharavi T Junction should head towards Sion Western and Kumbharwada before reaching Sion Hospital, taking a right turn onto Senapati Bapat Road.
2. For North-Bound Traffic: North-bound vehicles coming from Colaba and C.S.T. should use B.A. Road or Annie Besant Road. Those coming from Mahalaxmi Railway Station via Dr. E. Moses Road can take P. D'Mello Road, Barrister Nath Pai Road, Zakeria Bunder Road, and R.A.K. Marg up to Matunga. They should then take a right under the Arora bridge, proceed along Dr. B.A. Road, and continue towards Sion Hospital Junction. Alternatively, they can use the Worli-Bandra Sea Link to travel north through Dr. E. Moses Road and Rakhangi Chowk, turning right onto Senapati Bapat Road towards their destination.
3. For Vehicles on the Eastern Express Highway: Vehicles coming from the Eastern Express Highway heading south should use Wadala Bridge, Barkat Ali Naka, BPT, and Eastern Colony, along with the Eastern Freeway for their onward journey.
