A new controversy erupted online after the release of Adipurush. While some believed the Vfx was way too disappointing, many didn't like the dialogues. Meanwhile, a meme fest also sparked on social media platforms with netizens sharing hilarious memes.
Amid all these, a Twitter user didn't realise he was inviting trouble until he got a reply from Thane Police after sharing a meme that featured Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
The social media user Abhay posted a screengrab from the Prabhas-starrer movie showcasing Lord Hanuman (Bajrang Bali) and compared it with Shinde. "Didn't know Eknath Shinde was in Adipurush," he wrote and shared the picture. Meanwhile, Thane Police replied to the tweet and wrote, "Please share your contact no via DM." The officials also shared a number and asked him to call them.

About Movie Adipurush
The movie features Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Devdatta Nage, Sunny Singh, and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles and is directed by Om Raut. The almost three hours film produced by T-Series and Retrophiles hit the theatres on Friday, June 16.
Hours after the release, a right-wing group on Friday moved the Delhi High Court, seeking directions for the removal or correction of alleged objectionable scenes involving characters such as Ram, Sita, Ravana, and Hanuman in the movie. Filed by 'Hindu Sena' President Vishnu Gupta, the PIL claims that the characters in the movie deviate from the portrayal of these religious figures in the epic 'Ramayana' and also challenges the certification granted to the film under the Cinematograph Act of 1952.
It is the petitioner's case that the movie "offends the sentiments" of the Hindu community by presenting the religious characters in "an inaccurate and inappropriate manner" that goes against the descriptions found in the works of authors like Maharishi Valmiki and Saint Tulsidas.
