Nashik Accident: Seven people were killed while two others were seriously injured after a car collided with a motorcycle in Maharashtra's Nashik district, police said on Thursday.
The accident occurred near Nashik’s Dindori town on Wednesday night, police said, as quoted by news agency PTI. The police were alerted about the accident near a nursery on Vani-Dindori road at about 11.57 pm on Wednesday.

After being alerted, police and other agencies reached the spot and launched a rescue operation. The police spotted the two vehicles in a small canal alongside the road.
In another unrelated incident, four people died in a car accident on the Bengaluru-Mysuru Access Controlled Highway on July 13. The car reportedly lost control and hit a parapet wall near Jayapura Gate on the outskirts of Ramanagara.
The victims were identified as Thamanna Gowda (27), Mutthuraj (55), Sanju (28) and Sachin (27), who was driving the vehicle. All of them were residents of Mandya and KR Pete and were on their way to a family function in Ramanagara when the incident occurred.
According to the police, the driver was speeding when he lost control of the vehicle. The car overturned after hitting the wall and was badly damaged. A case of death due to negligence and rash driving has been registered by the Ramanagara traffic police.
