Pune Traffic Advisory: Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad police have announced traffic changes and restrictions on heavy vehicles for Saturday, February 22, in anticipation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah's visit. Shah is scheduled to participate in several important events, including a meeting of the Western Zonal Council, which will involve key officials from Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu. This meeting will take place at a hotel in Koregaon Park. Additionally, Shah will oversee a function in Balewadi focused on the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
To facilitate these programmes, the police have laid out specific traffic changes. In the Hinjewadi Traffic Division, heavy vehicle movement from Chande, Nande and Mahalunge to Radha Chowk and back will be halted. Instead, an alternate route via Godrej Chowk and Hinjewadi has been arranged. Heavy vehicles coming from Sus Bridge and Nyati Showroom will be redirected via the Mumbai-Bangalore Highway and Hinjewadi.
