Maharashtra News:  A 29-year-old woman fell into a deep gorge while taking a selfie in Maharashtra's Satara. However, the woman has been rescued, said police. The woman travelled from Pune to Borne Ghat in Satara along with her friends, when she fell into 100 feet deep gorge near Thoseghar waterfalls.

A Home Guard and other mountaineers hauled the woman out of the gorge safely. On social media, the video of her rescue has become viral.

The woman was taken to the hospital quickly, according to the police, and her condition is said to be stable now.

This occurred a few days following the death of a 26-year-old Instagram influencer who fell into a gorge at the Kumbhe waterfall, which is close to Raigad, Maharashtra.

On July 16, Aanvi Kamdar travelled to the waterfall with seven other friends. The expedition ended tragically when Aanvi fell into a deep gorge while filming a video.

Following a six-hour rescue effort, Aanvi was successfully extracted from the gorge. However, she died in the hospital as a result of the terrible injuries she acquired in the fall.

Following the incident, local officials advised everyone to enjoy tourism responsibly and prioritise safety when discovering beautiful nature. They highlighted the need to avoid reckless activity that may risk life.

Rain Alert For Satara, Pune

Meanwhile, the IMD released a yellow alert, indicating that Palghar and Thane may get significant rains until August 6. The districts of Dhule, Nandurbar, Jalgaon, Nashik, Ahmednagar, and Kolhapur have also been given heavy rain warnings. A red alert for exceptionally heavy rain is in effect for Satara and Pune.
