A senior delegation from the Government of Maharashtra participated in the Tech in Asia (TIA) Conference held in Singapore, engaging with more than 1,500 enterprise leaders, AI builders, technology executives, investors and innovators from across the region.
The delegation included Virendra Singh, IAS, Secretary, Electronics, Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence Department, Government of Maharashtra, and Dr Shrikant Patil, Chief Executive Officer, Maharashtra State Innovation Society (MSInS).
Themed ‘Lead the Enterprise AI Era’, this year’s conference focused on the practical deployment of Artificial Intelligence, enterprise transformation and the partnerships required to move emerging technologies from experimentation to large-scale implementation. The delegation attended the do at the invitation of Ashrayu Media; the India Partner of the conference serving as the strategic bridge between Indian governance and Southeast Asia’s flagship technology summit.
Speaking at the event, Singh highlighted the growing role of Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies in Maharashtra’s development agenda. He spoke about the state’s evolving technology ecosystem, opportunities for AI-led growth and the role of government in creating an enabling environment for innovation, investment and technology adoption.
He also underlined the vision and support of Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis towards strengthening the state’s technology and AI ecosystem and promoting technology-led development. Dr Patil, in his remarks, outlined Maharashtra’s approach to supporting startups and innovators through policy initiatives, incentives and ecosystem development. He highlighted measures being undertaken by the state government to encourage entrepreneurship, foster innovation and create greater opportunities for startups to scale.
He also highlighted the importance of stronger government-industry collaboration in building a robust startup ecosystem and supporting emerging enterprises through their growth journey.
The conference provided the Maharashtra delegation an opportunity to engage with an international community of technology companies, investors, entrepreneurs and enterprise leaders. Discussions explored potential avenues for collaboration across areas including Artificial Intelligence, enterprise technology, startups, innovation and digital transformation.
